DANGER FROM HORSES
To the Editor. j Sir, — I would like to draw your attention to the gieat danger podtstrians are subject to by several m >bs of horses being- driven at a hard gallop along Elliot Road from tho Xvwn at different times during the day. In some cases ihjy are led by n c-'ring-of halters and driven abreast of each other ; the driver takes up the centre part of the road leaving pedestrians to walk in the mud, besides beingmost insulting- asked to keep io one side. Tbe drivers of other mohs take off the halters when near the Hospital, and the horses come along at a hard gallop in all parts of the road towards the paddock. T think the, gentlemen in Council 'jonnooted with the district should cause ihiss great danger io ladies and children to be stopped and not wait until a fatal injury is caused. — 1 am, &c, LADY.
