RULES AND REGULATIONS.

To which the attention of Persons fen- ! tering Horses is particularly directed.. All entries, nominations, etc., will close at the Secretary's Office, New Plymouth, at 8 p.m., except when otherwise specified. . ' - All entries to be sealed, and addressed to the Secretary, Tar a naki Jockey Club, New Plymouth, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at the time of entry, name •of owner, pedigree, colours of the rider, and in the case of handicaps, performances of the horse. : " ■ Entries made by. telegraph must be" confirmed in writing <at the earliest possible time, or nominator may be fined a sum not exceeding £10, See Rule 45. Owners, • Trainers, and others entering and accepting horses for the T. J.C. Meetings are notified that no entries or acceptances will be received unless accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. It is now compulsory "on Stewards to inflict -a fine of not less than one soy. upon any person running a horse iu^ wrong colours: f All persons inteaSing to withdraw horses are required to give notice to the Secretary, or Clerk of Scales, ona half-hour- before the official time for starting the race. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine, to be imposed by the Stewards, not seeding 20 boys. In accordance with Rule 143 a (for tha purpose of forming a Fund to answer olaims under "The Workman's Compensation for Accidents Act ") no horse will be* allowed to start unless a r«oeipt shall be first produced for £1 paid in respect of such horse toY the Secretary of the Conference. Every Gentleman Rider, Jockey, -or Apprentice must produce his license to the Cleric of the Scales, ■- Stakes are paid in full. All races to be run tinder the N.Z. Rules of Racing.
