It is officially announced that Mr ■Alexander Michie, wtho has been temporarily discharging the duties- of general manager of the Hank of NewZealand for some months has decided to return to Dunedin and res/umie there his position -of bank manager. The Directors had hoped that he would have seen his way to have remained . permanently in Wellington at the head of affairs, but for family reasons he was unable to do so. " • The Directors therefore o,ffered the genei'al managership to Mr Alexander Madkioitosh, who has for over fiiye years discharged the duties of chief ateditor and has consequently an in•tiraiate knowledge of the busmesa of the bank. He has accepted the position.
