ROPES PART IN A GALE.

The steamer St. JLours, which loft Noumea on May 28th, with the ship Admiral Camille (having 3000 tons of ore aboard) in tow, arrived to-day after an exciting experience, h&ving encountered a succession of gales. Early in the voyage tho bumping of the ship started tho towing bits and on June Ist the tow rope broke. Jhe second rope went the next day. Ibe iweather was so baa they were unable to pick up the Camille till the 4th. Ori^the evening of the 7th, when* SO miles east of Sydney Heads, another [fierce gale compelled the Camille 'to I let the tow go, and the St. Loms came on to Sydney without the Oamille. The captain intended making !sail andy working up to the port as I soon "as the weather moderated. The Camille was being towed to Sydney for,, docking, she having been ashore at Noumea,' but her damages are not serious. The crew of the St. Louis had" a- rough- time, two being slightly injured.
