The Income Tax Bill was recommitted and an amendment carried placing Assurance Companies, both local and foreign, on the same basis by taxing them thirty per cent, on their incomes. . QUEENSLAND TREASURY BILLS. ; Brisbane, February 20. Treasury Bills at 102, bearing interest at 4 per cent., have been placed on the local market. THE v COMMONWEALTH PARLIAI MENT. Melbourne, February 20. The Commonwealth Parliament lias been further prorogued till March 31 st.
