The picnic' and concert in aid of f udc'? for the Wesleysn church was an Undoubted success.^ Although the day w s not an ideal one for a picnic, the paren s and childreri rolled up in fairly larf.'f numbers. Games of all descriptions were indulged in, and a cricket match w; s played, during which Mr W. Line! m« t with a naaty blowin the mouth, depriving him of two of his front teeth. The con 1 cert in the evening was one of the best held in the rhurch, almost every iter< being encored. by a large and enthusiasts. 1 audience. A sum of 18 odd, was netted, which will reduce the balance owing to i about JE4O. The church' in .the first in,, stance cost over £300, and it speaks yen highly of the denomination in reduciu the amount in 1 go short a time.
