Those who have for tho past few years been in the habit of attending the annual regatta will be pleased to hear that at .last a new" departure .has been - takpn. , The, monotony of whaleboat racjng will be broken by the introduction- of single' sculls, pair and four, oared, outrigger races. Probably when the local clubs see the differenco between the old order 'of /things and 'tho new, v they will fool disposed to be more up to data and go in for-. the. same- "'class of boat.
