Trinity College, London.

The annual meeting of the Committee for the local centre of the above institution was held on Wednesday last, 28th inst., there being present: — Yen. Archdeacon Govett (in the chair), and Messrs E. Pridham," A.E. Fletcher, and N. K. MacDiarmid (loclal secretary). After the secretary had read the inward and outward correspondence, it was ' proposed and ,cai>. ried that the theoretical examination' which takes placSe on June 7th, be held in the High School, and that Mr Pridham be appointed supervisor. A' long discussion followed on the proposals contained in a circular dated 4th. April, 1902, from the _ London secretary as to holding additional musical knowledge examinations in December in each, year, and it was finally resolved that ~ this centre should hold the two exams this year as an experi ment. The resignation of Dr^ Hutchison, who has left the district, was received and accepted with regret. The local secretary announced that owing to pressure of business he was compelled to lay. his resignation in the bands of the committee. The chairman proposed, and Mr Pridham seconded, that the resignation be accepted with regret.— Carried. On the,motion of l the same gentlemen, Mr C. L. MacDiarmid was appointed local secretary. After some other formal business had been transacted, the meeting , adjourned.
