INGLEWOOD NEWS.

The monthly meeting of the Inglewood School Committee was held on Tuesday evening last, when ihe**e were present Messrs G. W. Bennett, R. Stevens, C. Cartwright, S. Candisb, H. Curtis, J. Press, H. Maseman, and W. Huuwick. The head teacher of thelnglewood school applied for two new cupboards for use in the school. The secretary was instructed to write to the Education Board far same. Mr Candish was authorised to get fasteners on the lavatory windows at the Inglewbou school. The tender of Mr Jas. Hodges for the supply of firewood to the Inglewood schaol was accepted at £1 2s 6d per cord ; Messrs Cartwright and Maseman were empowered to arrange for wood for the 'Wortley Road school. It was decided to ta'je out a policy in the A cciden t Insuran ce to co ver i he em ployees' of the Committee. Considerable interest; wa«i taken in th Road Board election on Wednesday. The poll resulted in the return of Messrs A. Chard, El. Trimble, G. Turner, and A. .\iken. Mr Chard was at the head of the poll.
