Nekon, May 2.— The death is announced of Mrs Mary Wotten, aged 84, who arrived at Nelson in 1842. by the Fifeshire. '
Mr John Hay, of Auckland, ha 3 been appointed master at Nelson College. 1 here were applicants from all parts of the colony and Australia. The City Council to-night resolved to ask Mr Mesteyer, C.ȣ., the terms on which he will report on a drainage scheme for the city.
