Cattle. — At Waiwakaiho oa TuesI day cattle came forward in adverI tised numbers and there was a I large attendance. A nice lot of young cattle were yarded and all strong calves were well competed | for, nearly every line selling at the I hammer at good • prices. A small j but choice lines of fat bullocks from ,Mr F. Earp's, o i Egmont Road, sold well. Store cows and other stock made fair pricesi Weanersf made 19s to 23s 6d, good calves 27s to 309, calves) to yearlings 35s ! to 38s, 12 to 15 monthsi heifers 48s ! 18 months heifers £3 6s, 2£ year ! steers £4 7s 6d, 3 to 3* year fat steers £7 3s, store cows £2 2s 6d, to £3 17s 6d, cows in calf £4 to £4 10s, Jersey springers £5 5s to £7 ss, 2-toolh Romany wethers 9s 3d. On Wednesday I -held a clearing sale at Oakura on account of Mr S. E. Crowhurst. There was a good attendance and fair prices were realised- throughout. The cows which were mostly September calvers made "from £5 15s to £8, express horses £11 to £16.
