INGLEWOOD NEWS.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Inglewood Hifles, under Captain Leech, went into camp on Thursday on tho Keoreation Ground. The camp, I understand, is to last for a week, the men fa.lling-iii in the ovening and loaving camp again in tho morniog in time for their usual day labours. The remarks made by the S.M. on Wednesday with reference to ragwort and qther noxious weeds seems to baft had the desir. d ett'ect, as I have noticed several settlers juat recently hard at work trying to get rid pf j;ho peat. There is a largo gang of men on Mr Frimklyn'a property, where it is auppqsed tb.at the ragwor.t first made its appearance. It is to b« hoped that bomo means will be found to thoroughly exterminate the weed before it does any further damage. The new statinftmaster and family arrivod by train on Thursday evening, and will start on his new duties, I belive, on Monday next.

Harvest Festival Servioeß will be held in the" Honui Church ou Sunday at 11 and 7. Mr Ca-twrighfc will preach in the morning and the Rev. F. H. Spencer in the evening.? Wanted Kbqwd. - Muslin is a blend of' the feast croaje. AU storokeepei <• WhoWlQ Agent*, BurtfW». Vtvm
