I— Boys' Whaleboat Race.— For boys under 17 years. Ist prize £3, 2nd £1. About hall a mile; to statt at 10.45. 2— Maiden Whaleboat Rate. — No 1 members- of cx*cw to have won any race (Junior Race excepted). Ist, £6, 2nd £1. One mile and a-half. To start at 11.15. 3 — Champion Whaleboat Race. — Ist £35, 2nd £10, 3rd £5-— provided an outside crew competes ; if not, the first prize to be £20, second £5. Three miles. To start at 11.40. 4 — Fancy Dress Whaleboat Race. — For crews that are not taking part in any other race at the Regatta. ! Entries to be accompanied with a description of costumes for the Committee's approval. Ist £5, 2nd £1. One mile and a-half. Winner can , have the choice of medal or money. Distance about 200 yards. To start at 3 p.m. 13 — All-Comers' Whaleboat Race. — Ist £7, 2nd £1. Winner of the Champion Race debarred. Open ,to all comers, providing three canoes start, otherwise the Ist prize to be £5. Post entry. About three quarters of a mile. To 1 start at 4 p.m. 16 — Tub Race. — Open to all comers. Ist £1 ss, 2nd 10s, 3rd 7s— for six starters. Ist £1 ss, 2nd 10s — for four starters. Post entry. To start at 4.15. 17 — Tub Race. — For boys under 17 years. Ist £1, 2nd 10s — for six starters. Ist 15s, 2nd ss— for four starters. Post entry. To start at 4.30. ■ Two crews to start or no raco. Three crews to "start or no second prize. All races to start punctually at advertised time. Any boat not at the starting point at the proper time shall be liable to disqualification for that event. Protests must be in the hands of the Secretary in writing within 15 minutes after tho race. Each protest must be» accompanied by a deposit of 10s, which sum shall be forfeited if the protes s t is not upheld by the Committee. Entrance fee 10 per cent of the amount of first prize money offered for. each event. Names, weights of competitors (including substitutes), and colours to be worn, must be lodged at the time of entry. All post entries (to close on Regatta day at 12 noon) will be charged 5 per cent on amount of first prize. Bookmakers will not^be allowed to bet inside the enclosure. The Committee reserve to themseives the right to alter the order or postpone any or all ol the events, and add any regulations which in their opinion may be' necessary . Entries for all Whaleboat Races close with the Secretary at the Foresters' Hall on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20th, at 8 p.m. Entries for the Swimming Handicap Race close at the same time and at the same place. Band in attendance. Special, and delayed trains will be arranged to suit visitors. THE ANNUAL KEGATTA DANCE Will be held in St. John's Hall- on Regatta Night. Good music ; supper provided. H.
