CHAMPIONSHIP ROWINGS REGATTA. Per Press Association. Wellinfetbn; January 27. — The Championship Rawing Rfegatta" was held on Saturday at Peton& in smooth water. ' Wellington,, 27. — Three 'events oh the programme of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club's Anniversary Regatta were Sailed on Sat. urday afternoon. The rating race for first-class yachts was taken part in by the Waitangi, ,Uainbow, and lorangi, which got aw,ay in that order within 22secs of each other. The finishing times were' as follows :—lorangi: — lorangi 4.51 p.m.,' Waitangi, 4.51i15i Rainbow 4.58.53. The time allowances did not alter- the positions of the boats, and they were placed as they finished. In the race for- second-class yachts there were five competitors.
