'I THE Society has adhered to the prin3 ciple on which it was founded, viz., that all the profits be equally divided among the Members, Borrowers and ) Investors alike. ( The Society has recently altered its Rules, making the following important concessions to Borrowing Member** : — (1) The procuration fee of 1 per cent, has b^en abolished. (2) The Society now pays the costs of every mortgage, irrespective ©f the amount borrowed, and (3) Leaseholds, with provisions such as* exist in " perpetual leases " and " leases in perpetuity," are now accepted as securities for loans.
