SCHOOL COMMISSIONERS.
Thk School Commissioners met on Friday. Present : Messrs R. Cock (Chairman), Wade, Faull, and Stock. The Board confirmed a resolution passed at the last meeting with reference to the surrender by Mr F. P, Corkill of leases of certain sections in New Plymouth and granting now leases. : In accordance with a notice previously given, the Chairman moved a motion to submit sec E, town of Now Plymouth, for loaso by public tender for 21 years, with right of renewal every 21 years, at rentals to bo fixo>l by arbitration and based on the unimproved value of the land, the tenant to make substantial improvements of not less than £200 within two years. —Mr Block seconded the motion, which was carried. The section in question is required for the proposed sea Iviths. The Treasurer reported the Bank balance to be £662 Is 3d. , - Tho transfer of sec 1689 and part sec 1690. Now Plymouth, from F. P. Corkill to 11. Bedford, was sanctioned. Ths Board's Solicitor was instructed to report, on the title of blocks 48 and 53, Rale : gh East. Tho meeting adjourned.
