Horse Stock, &c. — Messrs Buckland & Sonsreport : — Horses: At the Haymarket on Friday last prices were good and competition keen for all usoful 'horses. A pair of waggon horses sold at L 47 10s, active spring cart horses LlB 10s to L2O 10s, draughts or shatters L 27 to L 42, young light harness horses LlO to Ll4-, hacks and gig horses L 6to L 9. Cattle, Sheep, &c. — Messrs Buckland arid Sons .report that at Remuera on Thursday dairy cows at profit brought from 80s to 140s each; dry cows, 40s to 67s 6d; fat and young calves, better worth, fresh dropped, 4s to 9s e'ich; medium, 12s to 16s; heavy, up to 65s — 60 sold. Fat cattle, in average numbers, improved in value, and brought from 21s to 26s the 1001 b; Bteers, from L 7 5s to Ll2 each; cows, L 4 to L 8 —220 sold. Fat sheep wore in fair supply at late values. Wethers, from 16s to 20s; each; owes, 14s to 18s (1000 sold); lambs sold freoly from 7s 3d to 13s each (130 Bold). Fat pigs of good quality were in demand; rough store pigs, at low values; porkers, from 20s to 27b each; baconors, up to 40s; small, 4s to 8s (60 sold). At the Cattle Fair at Eemucra yards on Monday there was a good muster of stock (o\ur 1000 yarded), which sold freely ut high values; grown steers in fresh condition sold from L 6 10s to L 7 19s each; 2 to 3-year-old steers, L 4 10s to L 6; yearlings, L 2 to L 2 15s; dry cows, Jj2 ids to L 3 10s; shorthorn bulls, from

There was a large muster of stock at Waiuku on Saturday, which sold at good values; dairy co«vs sold up to L 6 10s each; store cattle, L 3 10s io L 6 10s; strong calves, LI to LI 15s.— The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd, report as follows : — Cattle —At the Newmarket yards on Tuesday dairy and store stock in larger numbers than usual met a steady sale at improved rates. Dairy cows from L3ss to L 8; grown steers in fresh condition up to L 6 Is; empty cows, L 2 18s to L 3 17s. Beef in full numbers, ox beef sold at from 21s to 24s per 1001 b, and in a few cases LI 5s was reached; steers fromLß 10s to Ll2 10s; cows, L 4 to LB. Sheep from 14s to 6d to 22s 9d; ewes, 13s to 18s 6d; the store ewes and lambs, 16s; lambs in large numbers met a brisk sale at 8s 9d to 12s 9d; pigs more plentiful ; porkers from 18s to LI 19s; weaners, 5s 6d to 10s 9d.
