Nomination, 20a; acceptance, 10s. To start at 11.45 a.m. 2. Flying Handicap, of 30 soys; second horse to receive 5 soys out of the stakes; distance, f mile. Nomination, 20s; acceptance, 103. To start at 12.30 p.m. 3. Kakaramea Stakes, of 20 soys; second horse to receive 5 soys out of the stakes; distance, 4k furlongs; open to horses that have never won a race exceeding £25 in value; weight, BiC. Entrance, 203, on general entry night. To start at 1 p.m. 4. Patea Easter Handicap, of 75 soys; second bdrse to receive 10 sovb, and third horse 6 soys out of the stakes; distance, 1| miles. Nomination, 30a; acceptance, 30s. To start at 2 p.m. 5. Farmers' Plate, of 25 boys; second horse to recoive 5 soys out of the stakes; distance, 1 mile. Entrance, 255, on general entiy night. For all horses that have never started for any other race (Farmers' Plates ex cepted, and winners of those barred); welter weight for age; open to all horses trained in, and the bona fide property of residents witbin the boundaries of the Patea and Hawera Counties for three months prior to date of racing. To start at 245 p.m. 6. Alton High Weight Handicap, of 30 soys; second horse to receive 5 soys out of the stakes; distance, 1 mile; minimum weight, Sit 71b. Nomina tion, 20a ; acceptance, 10s. To start at 3 30 p.m. 7. Final Stakes, of 20 soys; second horse to receive 5 soys out of the stakes; distance, 4£ furlongs; oppn to horses that have never won a race at time of starting; weight, 9st. Entrance, 20s, on general eDtry night. To start at 4.15 p m. DATES of NOMINATIONS, ACOEP TANCES, & GENEHAL EH TKIKS. Nominations up to 8 p.m. on Monday 19th March, 1900. Weights declared on Tuesday, 27th Marcb, 1900. Acceptances and General Entries up to 8 p m. on Friday, 6th April, 1900. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. A " hack " means a horee that has never won a race of the value of 80 bgvr, or races of the collective value of 150 boys; and has never won an advertised racb exceeding 40 soys (Hack and Hunter excepted). 2 The winner of any flit race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlhe, and of every additional race 71bs extra in all handicap flit events 3. No nominations or acceptances will received unless aocorapanied by the necessary amount. (This rule will be strictly adhered to). 4. Performances of horses must be sent in with nominations. 5. Colours of riders to be sent in with acceptances on General Entry night. 6. No entries will be received for any raoe except upen condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, aud their decision shall be final. 7. Tho Committee rcfervo the light to alter the date ot appearance of weights and time of events should they sco fit to do so. 8. All races to be run under the Rules of RaciDg as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand. Note. — The Post and Telegraph Office closes at 5 pm.
