Tin? report of tho hon. secretary, Mrs Collis, of the NeAV Plymouth Contro of St. John Ambulance Association, which Avas presented at the l-ecen*; annual meeting, mentions among other matters that 225 certificates and medallions have been aAvarded as tho result of three years' work, a fact which speaks for itself of tho excellent character of tho instruction giA'cn. . . . This total of 225 entered in our register is divided thus :—lO4: — 104 during tho tAVo years under Auckland Centre and 121 since the formation of Now Plymouth Centre a year ago. The subdivision of tho latter number is : New Plymouth, certificates and second year vouchers, 53 ; medallions, 13. Frankloy Road (suburb), certificates first year, 16. lngleAvood, St-atford, and Eltham, certificates first year, 39 ; total, 121. . . . The early formation of an ambulance corps and a nursing corp.s should at onco have the thoughtful attention of tho members. But the necessary material and appliances ;u-o at present beyond our means, and this should bo a fitting occasion for making knoArn our needs. . . . Immediate donations would bo most gratefully accepted. . . . The executive have authorised the hon. secret.'U'y to make another special effort to organiso in as many towns as possible, and thib Avi'.l be shortly attended to.
