To start at 12 30 p.m. 3. Kakaramea Stakes, uf 20 soys; second horse to receive 5 soys out of the stakes; distance, 4J furlongs; open to horses that have never won a race exceeding £25 in value; weight, B*c. Entrance, 2o3, on general entry night. To start at 1 p.m. 4. Patea Easter Handicap, of 75 eovs; second horse to receive 10 soya, and third horse 5 soys out of the stakes; distance, 1^ miles. Nomination, 30a; acceptance, 30s. To start at 2 p.m. 5. Farmers' Plate, of 25 soys; second horso to receive 5 boys out; of the stakes; distance, 1 mile. Entrance, 25a, on general eutiy night. For all horses lhat have never started for any other race (Farmers PJates ex cepted, and winners of those barred); woiter weight for age; open to all horses trained in, and the bona fide property of residents within the boundaries of the Patea and Hawera Counties for three months prior to date of racing. To start at 245 p.m. 6. Alton High Weighs Handioap, of 30 soys; Hecond horse to receive 5 boys out of the stakes; distance, 1 mile; minimum weight, Bst 71b. Nocnina tion, 20s ; acceptance, 10s. To start at 3 30 p.m. 7. Final Stakes, of 20 eovs; second horse to receive 5 soys out of the stakes; distance, 4£ furlongs; open to horses that have never won a race at time of starting; weight, 9st. Weights declared on Tuesday, 27th March, 1900. Acceptances and General Entries up to 8 p m. on Friday, 6th April, 1900. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. A "hack" means a horse that has never won a race of the value of 80 scva, or races of the collective value of 150 so vs; and has never won an advertised race exceeding 40 soys (Hack and Hunter excepted). 2 The winner of any flat race after declarat'on of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbe, and of every additional race 71bs extra in all handicap flit events. 3. No nominations or acceptances will received unless accompanied by the necessary amount. (This rule will be strictly adhered to). 4. Performances of horses must be sent in with nominations. 5. Colours of riders to be sent in with acceptances on General Entry night. 6. No entries will be received for any race except upen condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, and their decision shall be final. 7. The Committee roperve the right to alter thu date ot appearance of weights and time of oveutd should they see fie to do so. 8. All races to be ran undor the Rules of Racing as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand.
