A THIRD CONTINGENT FUND.
New Plymouth sent two volunteers to '■ the Transvaal with the second contingent, and several others are ready to leave with , tho third. Contributions as under have already been made for the purpose of supplying the two who have gone with thoroughly reliable horses, and subscriptions for the purpose of equipping thoso who fbllow will be gladly received at tho office of this paper, and will be duly acknowledged from time to time :—: —
The following sums are already in hand to be devoted exclusively to the equipment of the Taranaki men who -join.th.3 Rough-riderg Contingent, £ s, d.
This fund will not in any way interfere; or clash with the fund being" raisad by the Mayor, but is intended to supplement it for the exclusive purpose, however, of providing horses and equipment for Taranaki men.
