THE SCHEME PROPOSED BY "FIAT LUX."

In his sheme, '• Fiifc Lux" provides for eight arc lamps of 2000 candlo power and sixty incandescent lamps each of 32 candle power; the arc lamps suspended from ornamental brackets on tho poles, tin incandescent lamps fitted with c- amelled redactors and distributed over five miles of Btreets. Tho public lamps provided for, there will rcmaiu available for sale to consumers current to light 800 lamps of 16 c.p. each simultaneously, but as ihifie will never be all lighted at the same time, at least 1000 lamps of 16 c.p. may bo conuected to the station. Under the new scheme tbo water supply in tho 24 hours ia doubled, and in addition to the extra wn'.cr power thus obtainable, GO horeo power (actual) will bo available, without extra coat, from tho electric 1-liuit when no light ia beipg usod, If
