In Cavershara, the official returns show that Morrison polled 2869 votes ana* Warren 1752, while there were 56 votes informal.

Wellington, Decembor 12. — The Local Option poll for the Rangitikei and Lyttelton electorates will be taken the same day as the Parliamentary elections, It is understood the Crown Law officers are of opinion that tho Local Option poll, taken under these circumstances, will bo legal.
