" THE BELLE OF NEW YORK. ' It is doubtful if ever any theatrical novelty was looked forward to as anxiously as this one. For the last two years it has been the most talked-of piece on the stage. Atone time there were no less thin eleven companies touring England with th"s piece alone. The reason of its popularity is not far to seek, laughter is the keynote of success in all modern pro ductions, and in "The Belle ' we have one continuous laugh from the rise to the fall of the curtain. The modern playgoer takes 'ju theatre as a tonic, and the witnessing of such merry comedies a c "The Bille of New York" adds years to the busy mau's life. The music of this pieca is bright and tuneful, the libretto smart, and faiily briatliDg with quaint Americanisms. Tha scetery aud dresses will be exactly the same as used in the large centres. JudgiDg by the number of seats already booked the house should be a record one
