4 FURTHER DAMAGE TO THE VESSEL. [PER PBEBB ASSOCIATION.! WellivGTON, October 4.— Mr Daniel wired as follows to the Uai«n Company at 4 p.m. to-day :: — '• The last high-water brought a heavy sea in. The Mapourika worked very heavily, and it is feared her bottom has received considerable damage." Wellington, October s.— The manager of the Union Co.haa received word from Mr Daniels that there waa a very heavy sea at Oreymouth last night and no improvement this morning. The Mapourika sustained no further apparent damage, bit owiog to the rough rea it is impossible to patch the holes In response to a request from Mr Daniels, eight men with pumping gear and hawsers go down by the Wainui to-night.
