PROSPECTS IMPROVING. [I'ER ritESS ASSOCIATION.j London, December 14.—The prospects for a patisfactory termination of the conference between the delegates of the Employers' Federation and the representatives of the engineers have improved. The ballot of engineers with regard to tbe acceptance of tho employers' proposals has resulted in 752 voting for acceptance, and G8,96G against. The employers are not averso to a more conciliatory defini tion of their proposals, and a small joint committee is endeavoring to reconcile the employers' claims for freedom of management with the Unionists' claim to collective bargaining.
