The Indian Government has forbidden the transport to Afghanistan of machinery for the manufacture of war material. Calcutta, September 14. — General Blood's force, which is to assist General Elles's expedition against the Mohmands, has encamped at Rambat Pate, having marched through the Bazar country unopposed. Calcutta, September 14.— A thousand | Orakzais stormed tha post of Saragari, which was held by 22 men of the 35th | Sikh regiment. Tho post was horoically defended for six hours. All the defenders perished. One man defended the guardroom singlehanded, killing 20 o* the enemy and was finally burnt out ot his post.
