DEMANDS OF THE TRADES UNION CONGRESS,

London, September 10.

The Trades Union Congress has passed resolutions demanding the nationalisation of land, mines, minerals, royalties, rents, railways, and waterways, and municipalisation of water and lighting tighta and tramways ; also payment of fair wages in Government' dockyards.

A resolution was carried demanding the amendment of the Conspiracy Act in the direction of placing employees in a similar position and punishing employers for issuing black lists. QUEEN'S THANKS TO IRELAND.

The Queen, in a message to Earl Cadogan, Lord Lieutenant 'of Ireland, expresses herself greatly pleased wilh the loyal ond kind reception extended to the Duke and Duchess of York. Her Majesty ajked that the message be made generally known.
