NEW ZEALAND TELEGRAMS.
A SEARCH ABANDONED. Wellington, September 10. The Hinemoa has finally abandoned the search for the rock on which the Tasmania is supposed to have struck. Capt, Neale states that he is satisfied no rock exists outside the danger line. Search was made for the patent log, which, it was expected, would show the distance travelled from Gisborne before the wreck, but apparently it had broken away, as the diver could not find it.
