THE STRIKE EXTENDING. [PER PUEBS ASSOCIATION.]
September 9.— The United Workers Society is urging the engineers to abandon their demands for eight hours as a day's labor. Many other branches of labor are striking for the eight hours' concessions. The Trades Union Congress, 1 sitting at Birmingham, pissed resolutions denounc ing the Conspiracy Acts as unjast to workers, and in support of the miners' demand for an eight hours' day.
