TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTION.
The election of one member for tho Omata Riding of the Taranaki County Council, in place of Mr Ellerm, resigned, was held on Tuesday and resulted in the return of Mr A. George. Subjoined are the particulars of the polling :—: — A. George— Town, 38; Omata, 13; Oakura, C total, 57 Wareham, G. W.— Town, 7 ; Omata, 11 ; Oakura, 30 total, 48 Morris, F. J. — Town, 3 ; Omata, 2 : Oakura, 9 total, 14 Oxenbam, 0.-Town, 2 ; Omata, 0 ; Oakura, 4 total, 6 Tho total polling at the booths n&3 as follows -.—Town: so; Oakura, 49; Omata, 2G.
