[rEX PRESS ASSOCIATION.! Wei.mmston, July 10.— The body of a man was found 10-day on the beach near the Patent Slip, having been washed up during the uight. It has been identified as that of Edward Frederick Nobla Campbell, a single man, aged 35, eon of Mr Noble Campbell (formerly a member of the well-known auctioneering firm of Leary and Campbells Deceased, who was a compositor by trade, was engaged as clerk at the -winter meeting of the Wellington Racing Club on 7th and 10th July, and a day or two after was reported missing, and nothing was hoard of kit* until the body was recovered. Some years ago he was a prominent tnembor ia the Amateur Operatic Society, and played Gobo in "Los Cloche* de Cornevillo' with undoubted ability. He wa» highly rtspected ; and how he came by his death is unknown. There are no nurks of violence on the body.
