A meetiug of the flangitikei and Manawatu Licensed Victuallen Association held here yesterday, it was resolved that this Association amalgamate with the Palmerston and Wauganui Associations, for the purpose of taking combined action at the next general election for the protection of the interests of the trade. The Pan- Anglican Conference at Lambeth Palace next year will be attended by Bishop Cowie, Primate, and all the New Zealand bishops, except Bishop Wallis, who will look after the North Island, and Bishop Mules, who will supervise the South.
