CHRISTCHURCH UNEMPLOYED.
Haweha, July 8. Mre Eyes was killed on Thursday near Pihama by being thrown from a trap. Deceased was wife of W. H. Eeys, for some time Superintendent ol Marlborough.
Chmstchorch, July 2. , A large number of unemployed met this morning, when the argent need of employment was pointed out, and tbo numerous families without food. It, was stated that several men present had no breakfast, and had no prospect of obtaining a meal during the day. , It Was resolved to wait on the Charitable Aid Board to ask for immediate relief. *
