APPLICATION FROM SHAREHOLDERS. [per press association.] Dunedin, July I.— ln the Supreme Court, in Chambers, Mr Justice Williams heard a motion for the appointment of Win.' Barron, of Caversham, gentleman, to represent the shareholders at the Committee of the Colonial Bank in or about the proceedings relating, to the windipg up of the Bank, in the terms of rule 63 of the rules made under the Company's Act, 1881. Mr Haggitt I opposed, and. after hearing argument the Judge refused the motion.

In a second motion re costs of recent proceedings, 20 guineas costs were allowed to T. Young, Wellington.
