FOOTBALL.
Thero was a fair concourse of spectators on the racecourse this afternoon to witness the First Junior Cup match, Star 11. v. Inglewood. The ground iv the Recreation Reserve was under water.
Petty, the Tukapa three-quarte*, has been notified by the Selection Committee of the rep team to attend the test practice at Hawera to-morrow.
Footballers and followers of the game generally w?ll be pleased to learn that the game of indoor football, played on the checkers board, will be placed before the public at a short date. The agent is in town and will canvass and receive orders from all who are in quest of this first-class game.
