Catch Weights of £5, second horse to receive £1 out of the k takes ; about $ mile. Post entry, ss. 6. Scurry Race of £3, second horse to receive 10s out of the stakes; for horses that have not won a race of any description. $ mile. Post entry, 3s. 7. Consolation Handicap of £3, second hone to receive £1 out of stakes ; once around the course. Post entry, 3s. Entries received immediately after the Scurry. Nominations for No. 1, S, and 4 must be in the hands of the Secretary, at the Bridge Hotel, by May 9th, not later than 8 p.m., accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. Weights appear Tuesday, May 12th. Acceptances close on Saturday, May 16th. All disputes, claims, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards present, and their decision upon all points conueoted with the carrying out of thii programme shall be final, subject to appea as provided by Rule 131 of the Rules of Racing. Protests must bo in writing and lodged in the hands of tho Secretary within fifteen minutes after the race. Each protest must bs accompanied with the deposit of £2, which sum may be forfeited if the protest be not upheld by tho Stewards. The Committee also reserve the right to postpone the meeting should the weather prove unfavourable. | A Hack is a horse that has never won an advertised race, or is not nominated for any race at the time of start, or for six months previous thereto (hack, hunter, or pony races excepted). No entry will be received for any race except upon conditions that any claims, disputes, or objections arising out of the raciug shall bedecided bya majority of the Stewards present, and their decision shall be final, subject to appeal as provided by Rule 131 of the Rules of Racing. 4.
