Selling "Race, of 20 soys ; winner to be sold immediately after the race for 20 soys. Entrance, 20s. Minimum weight, Bst. 5 furlongs. 8. Toko Handicap, of 25 soys; second horse to receive 5 aovs from the stakes. Nomination, 10s; acceptance, 16s. 7 furlongs. Weights will appear immediately after the Midhirst Handicap is ruu. To start at 5 p.m. All stakes paid in full. Definition of a Hack. — A horse that has never won an advertised race exceeding the value of 40 soys at time of start, and is not nominated at time of entry for a Derby, Guineas, St. Leger, or Sapling Stakes (Hack, Hunter, and Pony races excepfced). Horses that have won an advertised race of the value of £25, after the declaration of weights, to carry apenalty of 51ba; if of the value of £40, and over, to carry a penalty of 71bs; penalties not cumulative. The Committee reserve to themselves the right to alter the date of meeting, entry, acceptance, appearing of weights, and order and tune of events should they see St to do so. All races will be run under the Rules of Racing adopted by the Metropolitan Racing Clubs of New Zealand. DATES OF NOMINATIONS AND ACCEPTANCES. Saturday, December 14th, at 9 p.m. — Nominations close for Hurdle Race, Stratford Cup, Pony Race, and Midhirst Handicap — Weights for which will appear on Saturday, January 4th, 1896. Satuuday, January 11th, 189G,at9 p.m. — Acceptances close for Hurdle Race, Stratford Cup, Pouy Race, and Midhirst Handicap; and Entries close for Ngaire Stakes, Seeing Race, and Toko Handicap.
