PARSONS PUTS UP A RECORD. Melbojiine, November 30.— At the Bicycle Club Meeting, the mile international scratch race was won by Martin (America), Paraons being second, "and Harris third after a great finish ; won by a wheel ; time 2 mm. 38 4-stha sees. Victoria mile : Payne (60 yds) I Pither (40 yds) 2, Megson (40yds) 3. Won easily. Five heats of the Austral Wheel rice wero decided and the race will b& I'omploted on Saturday next. Parsons put up a record for the Australian ialfmile, covering the distance in 57 l-sth seoa. Harris, tho English champion and Zimmerman are matched for a mile raca ; tha contest takys place on New Years Boy.
