THE MISSING BARQUE WEATHERSFIELD.
Wellington, November 29. The steam tug Duco, which left on a search for the disabled barque Weathersfield, has returned to port without sighting the vessel. A change of wind may, however, in time bring her up to the Heads.
LATE STEAMER COLLISION.
The decision sf the Court of Enquiry into the collision between the Wakatipu and the Flora wns that Captain Ewen. of tße former, should pay the costs, £29 10s. The S.M. said that if he had not been dismissed by the Uaion Company his certificate would have been suspended for some time, but nnder thy cirenmstances there was no need to deal harshly with the officer, who held a good record of 10 years, SIR PATRICK BUCKLEY ACCEPTS
THE JUDGESHIP.
Wellington, November 30.
Sir P. Buckley, having accepted a Judgeship, has retired from the legal firm he has so long been associated with, and tho partnership has been dissolved Instead of Buckley, Stafford, and Trendwell, the firm will now bo Stafford, Treadwell, and Field.
