ST. MARY'S CHURCH ANNIVERSARY.

The Right Rev. Dr Wallis, Bishop of Wellington, acnompanied by Mrs Wallis arrived by the through train on Friday night. This afternoon theßishop and Mrs Wallis held a reception at St. Mary's Sunday School. To-night the Bishop holds a confirmation service, and tomorrow morning will occupy tho pulpit at St. Mary'B. In the afternoon 'Bishop Wallis will deliver an address in St. Mary's to the members of 'the Benefit Societies, who will march in procession to the Church from the Foresters' Hall, Gil-street.

Special music will be rendered, and the choir of St. Mary's has been augmented for the occasion, and will be 50 strong. The anthem at tho morning and afternoon servicos, will bo "Awake Thou that Sleepest, and Arise from the Dead," a magnificent chorus from Sir John Stainer's Oratorio " Daughter of Jairus." In the evening the anthem will be "The Radiant Morn," being the well-known hymn tune set to music by the Rev. H, Woodward. The Magnificat and Nunc Dimmitis will be sung to Gours' setting
