Horse Stock. — Messrs Buckland & Son report that on Friday horse stock was in usual supply. Young horses in condition sold freely. Riding horses brought from £9 to £22 ; draught stock, £9 to £23 each. Wool, Hides, Skixs, &c. — Messrs G. W. Binney & Sons report that on Tuesday they had a large sale of hides, skins, tallow, bones, &c. Hides sold at an advance. Cow, 2Jd to 3d for all good lots ; ox, from 3Jd for medium to 5Jd for best, large numbers averaging 3Jd; calf, 3Jd ; stags, 2d. Sheepskins, local green, average 3s. Tallow, 16s to 20s per cwt. There is no change in bones and. horns. — Messrs Bucklaud & Sons icport that on Tuesday hides were in fair quantity, and maintained the late rise. Ox hides mostly brought from 3d to 3Jd ; picked soi ts, 4 jjtl to ojd ; cow hides, 2Jd to 2Jd ; calfskins, 3Jd the lb ; fresh skins, 2s 2d to 3s 4d; dry skins, Is 4d to 2s 4d ; lambs, Is lOd to 2s 2d each.

Cattle, Sheep, &c. — Messrs Buckland & Sons report that at Waiuku on Saturday last a small muster of stock met steady enquiry at late values. Dairy cows brought 80s to 112s 6d, and fresh conditioned steers 112s 6d to 127s 6d. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cattle in usual number fully kept late valnes, and those at profit ranged from 100s to 160s each. Store cattle sold freely ; 3-year-old steers brought 105s ; young dry [ cows, 40s to 45s ; yearling heifers, 47s fid each ; young and fat calves, in short supply, sold freely at late values. Fat cattle, in averagenumber (180 sold), were in demand throughout tho sale at .22s per lOOlbs. Sheep were in less supply than the average, 960 being yarded ; fat- sheep.-advanced in price, we.thera ranged up to 16s ; ewes, 22s 3d each ; | store sheep at late' values ; .: ewes', 5s ; lambs; .4s to 6s fad each.' Wright's- annual sale of Jersey cows, which ranged at from 6 to 15 guineas each ; ordinary dairy cows well represented, and were freely competed for from 90s to 152s 6d ; calves sold from 14s to 30s; yearlings from 30s to 42s Cd ; 18-inonths-old steers, 40s to 52s 6d ; heifers, 27s 6d to 35s ; grown steers, 80s to 112s 6d ; dry cows, in fre3h condition, were in brisk demand, and sold at 47s 6d to 60a ; prime ox beef sold from 20s to 22a per lOOlbs ; inferior, 183 to 19s ; cows, 183 to 20s per ]Qolb3. Averages of steers — £9 los, £9 7s, £8 17s 6d, £8 Bs, £6 16s Bd, £6 ss, £5. Some averagrs of cows were— £6 10s, £6 7s 6d, £6 4s 9d, £5 17s 6d, £525 6d, £4 12s 6d.— Sheep : The Newmarket pens were moderately full on Tuesday ; competition was brisk throughout the sale, and there was a slight upward tenc ency in value. Wethera ranged from 8s to 13s 0d each ; ewes, 6s to 11s 9d; mixed sexes, 11s to 12s Sd; lambs, 6» to 9s. Pigs were plentiful, and in steady demand. Baconers sold from 40s to 52s 6d ; porkers, 19s to 35s ; store pigs, 6s to 27s od.
