[PER PHESB ASSOCIATION."] LoNDON,May 22. — Taylor was convicted on two counts in connection with Charles Williiim Parker, and bis sentence has been postponed. [ The case of Oscar Wilde is now prot ceeding. I The Marquis of Queensberry met his son, Lord Douglas of Howick, in Piccadilly yesterday morning, when the son accused his father of sending insulting I letters to Lady Douglas because he was one of Oscar Wilde's sureties. The Marquis of Queensberry shouted out that he | was anxious to renew the fight for ten ! thousand pounds, and, addressing the cro.wd, said he disowned his son. A furious scuffle ensued, when the Marquis j knocked his son down. The police interfered and separated the pair, when they were both taken to the police station, charged with disturbing the public peace. They were subsequently admitted to bail in sureties of £500 each to keep the peace.
The relationship between the two has been for a long time Htrained, owing to the Oscar Wilde scandal ; and on the meeting yesterday the son called the father a liar and a slanderer.
