REV. MR COOK'S MISSION.

[communicated.] TriE final gathering in connection with the Rev. Thos. Cook's mission took place on Wednesday night in the Wesleyan Church, and wa3 largely attended, some 200 of the converts accepting the invitation of the committee to-meet 100 of the ■workers, who were joined by so many interested that the tables were crowded three or four times. - Thero were present —the Revs. W. Drew (Baptist), W. S. Potter (Primitive), and-, Adjutant Rattray, of the Salvation Army, with many members of all the four churches. The after meeting, held in the church, was closely packed, members from the country 14 and 17 miles distant being there. Roy J. H. Gray presided. . Mr John H. "White, secretary of the Mission, reported ■ucceßS in attendances, finances, and re•ults beyond expectation ; rejoiced in the unity of the churches manifest by their kind co-operation, and assured tho converts of tho warm welcome each church represented would give them. Tho free contributions exceeded the expenditure by some £16, which sum was voted first toward any deficiency of; offertory in the co-operating sister churches (applause) and next their own (the Weslsyan) churches of the town aud district. Mr G. H. White, secretary to the enquiry room, reported over 230 enquirers, most of whom had already signified the church they meant to join. Rev. W. Drew said . —" X should be sony to be absent from such a meeting after such' a "mission," ant} reciprocated th» brotherliness •bown by tho Committee. Rev Potter spoke in most happy and hopeful terms and .expressed tha pleasure it bad been to him to share gin the service and blessing of the mission which . he believed would itrengthen every church in' town. Adjutant Rattray also gave a timely and telling address. Rev. Mr Gray announced the provisions made for folding and shepherding tho new converts. At the close more entered the enquiry room, and the meeting dispersed with expressions of joy and gratitude for th« bteufc j and power which attended the misiion.
