REDUCING EXPENSES. London, April 19, Tho Hon. D. Gillies, Agent-General for Victoria, believes the expenses of the agency for the current' year will amount to about £2600, and that the next year will only reach about £2000. CELTIC KING ARRIVED HOME. The Coltic King, from Sydney, has arrived at Oravesend. Nugget, Mr John Hayes' prize draught horse, caught cold after rounding Cape Horn and died. 'One .carriage horse has wasted, but the rest are in good health and fine fettle. Most of the cattle are in splendid condition. , The animals wore on short allowance of fodder after crossing the, line and the last of it was served out to-day. LIVE CATTLE TRADE. "Six cattle by the s.s. Port Chalmers are dead, the re3t are in excellent condition. The bullocks by the Celtic King and Port Chalmers will bo sold alive at Dcptford on Monday. OSCAR WILDE COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. Oscar Wilde and Taylor were committed for trial. REVOLT IN CUBA. Nnw Yokk, April 19. The revolt in Cuba, is spreading.
