Mr H. 'Pho secretary was instructed to forward the application to tho Board of Education with tho recommendation of the committee. Tho committee decided to vote for Miss Hey wood as member of the Education Board, also for Mr Allsworth, pending his approval. Four marriages took place here to-day ; two in tho Wesloyan Church and two in the Catholic Church. The Wesleyan party stood the volleys of rice and old slippers well, but I understand those of the Catholic party didn't, ono of the young ladies having broken hor new umbrella over the head of a young man who threw rice at her.
