[NOTES BY "FORWARD."] A capital game was witnessed on the racecourse ground on Thursday af tcrnooii when Star IDE. met Tukapa 11., the result being a draw,- each side scoring a try. In the first ipell Nichols crossed the line for Star, Sfcroud making ir'gobd attempt for the goal. Iv the second spell, almost on the call of time; Moverley crossed the line for Tukapa. Rennell made a good shot for goal. Both sides worked hard throughout, the second spell especially being keenly contested. Mr R. Gillespie was referee, and Messrs J. Elliot and P. Bishop, timekeepers. The Waimate-Star match on the Racecourse Reserve to-morrow will attract a large crowd of spectators. T.heWairaate team will arrive to-night. Misprints which makes nonsense do no particular harm.
