Money Securities.—Consols (Goschen's) 2} to 2J per cent, now at 9!)^, steady. New Zealand securities are quoted n a follows :—: — 4 per cent 1879-1904 loan, lOS} ; 3J percent.inscribed stock. 99£. Mai'ket i-atc of discount 1J per cent; and bank rate of discount is now 2 per cent. Total reserve in the Bank of England in notes and bullion is now £23,906,000, being a decrease of £620,000 on previous week. Proportion of reserve to liabilities is 56,16 per cent., being a decrease on last week of 4.62 per cent. BBEADSTUFFS.-Wheat market: Australian store, 27s to 27s Gd per 490tti (quiet) ; N.Z, long-berried wheat ex warehouse, 27s per 4961 b. Tallow.— Tallow is in fair demand. Beef, medium 245; medium mutton, 255. Leather.—Best sides Australian leather SJd per lb; hides are realising from 3d to 3Jcl. FLAX.-New Zealand hemp is steady. Four hundred bales of fair quality sold at £15 10s to £16 5s per ton. Butteb. — Danish butter is at Ills, Stocks are in excess of trade requirements, and the markets is drooping. Fine qualities New Zealand are worth 9<Ss to 100s per cwt, Quotations are nominal. Frozen Meat. — Mutton market is unchanged. Quotations are: New Zealand frozen mutton, Canterbury, od; and Wellington, 4Jd; lamb, 6|d.
