At the mart, fowls made Is 2d to Is Sd; chicks. Od tv lid: ducks, lOd to 1.-, 4d: gue»e, Is 9d; potatoes. 3s yd to 4s 3d: sharps, 8»; wheat, 3s; onions, 2d; tu;i. 13s. Furniture and sundries made fair rates. " Fruit has been plentiful during the week. At Wednesday's sale plums made 5s 6il to 7s 6d; peaches, 7s to Ss; pears, 7s to 8s; nectarines, 4s <>d; apples, 2s (id to 3s 6d. Cattle,—On Monday, at Rahotu. I held a clearing sale of dairy stock on account of Mr Walford. The cows were a fair lot, but mostly in milk. Bulding was very slow, and most of the dairy was passed in. Cows in milk made £3 7s Gd to £G; springers, £4 15s to £6 6s; calves on the bucket, 10s (id to 21s. —At Stony River, on Wednesday, the yards - were well filled.' There was a good attendance, and all small cattle were well competed for. Three pens of big steers were about the only lines unsold, there being no demand for this class. Small calves made 25s to 30s; calves to yearlings. 42s to 455; springing heifers, 75« to 92s Gd; store cows. 55s to GOs; fat cows, S2s Gd ; bulls, 30s to 50s. —On Thursday, at Henwood Road. I held a cleai*ing sale of Mr Howard's dairy cow-; the latter were a first-class lot, but mostly on the aged side, and all in milk.
