CREATING OF J's.P. TO THE EDITOR.
Sir. — 1 hear a report that the Govern meat contemplate creating two more J's P. in New Plymouth. Now, sir, as a very p ivato individual I w.bli to enter niy feeble protest against this kind of thing being kept up. A fellow can hardly w .Ik down tho street without running up against one or more of tft J. P. fraternity; and, another thing, if this game is kept up I b all never be able to get round the lot. I h.td about made it right with two, and was contemplating approaching tho roßt as I found them out, in view of futuro contingencies, you know; when lo ! here are another couple about to bo dumped on us. 1 give tho matter up in despair, as I find it taxes evon my ingenuity to sproad myself sufficiently to meet the case in hand. I entreat you, sir, to uso your powerful influence to curtail the spread of this thing, or it will become epidemic, and us c itching as tho measles. Us little folk will never dare to utter a big D in the street, as weshall be sure t't be heard by one of the groat unpaid. In fact, what with J'a.P., Borough ruto-=, moitgages, and tho army band, life will soon become unbear ablo in this hitherto pleasant spot.— l am., &o , very sorrowfully, The T Pot.
